The VOSA IVA retest requires fixing all the issues that were found on the initial test and then the vehicle has to be taken back to the test centre for the retest
The Process
A retest date has to be booked with VOSA and then the vehicle has to be taken to the test centre again. The vehicle will then be retested by VOSA on the faults that they listed on the FAIL sheet. If all the faults have being corrected then the vehicle will pass, if not then another FAIL list will be issued.
Blitzworld advice
The biggest fail on the IVA test is emmisions due to buying a cheap old engine in the first place, which can then incurr high costs at a later stage, sometimes spending a bit more on a better engine will work out better in the long run, hence why we offer the brand NEW Ford Zetec engines.
PASS
If the vehicle passes on the retest, then the next stage of the process is required. A pass certificate will be presented to us at the end of the test and then this has to be sent to the DVLA who issue the numberplate.
A DVLA application form has to be filled out with other supporting information and has to be sent to the DVLA at Swansea.
